30 years of the Bombazos

This activity that commemorates 30 years of the boom, and resurgence of the Bomba festivities in Puerto Rico and its extension to the diaspora, is considered one of high historical caliber. In it we will be highlighting the restart, and the sustained and uninterrupted development of the ancestral Bomba festivities during the past 30 years, from its original event on May 18, 1993 to the present. In the activity we will also celebrate the history and loss of the Plena, and the “Plenazos”. For this great celebration we have coordinated the participation of special guests from New York, Philadelphia, and all sectors of the Bomba and the Plena of Puerto Rico.
