The Festival will begin on Thursday, January 18 at 5:00 in the afternoon, with the ribbon cutting, Rafaela Balladares awards ceremony, dedication and parade of big heads. All you need to know about Public Transportation
The Department of Transportation recommends opting for public transportation over driving to Old San Juan during the festival’s four days.
–Taxi services will be accessible at the Convention Center, with a parking fee.
–Uber will operate as usual, dropping off near the Hacienda building in Old San Juan.
–The ferry service between Cataño and Old San Juan will operate from 7:30 am to 2 am, offering round-trip tickets at $1 per person. Purchase ferry tickets online or through the City Experiences app.
–AMA buses, along with other buses and multi-person vans (Guaguas), will run from the Sagrado Corazón station and Hiram Bithorn Stadium into Old San Juan, with parking at Hiram Bithorn Stadium available for $5.
–The Tren Urbano will run from 5:30 am during the festival, charging $1.50 per trip. Park for $3 at Plaza de la Convalencencia or Plaza de Rio Piedras for convenient train access.
